Where to buy colostrum in Singapore
It is not difficult to find colostrum in Singapore. You can buy colostrum in Singapore from major pharmacies or nutrition shops. But the prices of colostrum in Singapore shops can be quite steep. To save cost, you can try buying colostrum in Malaysia but you have to travel over the causeway which can be crowded at times. And the savings may not be worth the time and trouble.

Where to buy authentic traditional mooncakes in Singapore
Mooncake (月饼/月餅/yue bing) is a Chinese bakery product traditionally eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Below are two traditional mooncake bakeries which have a long history in Singapore.
Forget about the modern style hotel mooncake and go traditional mooncake this year.
Since both of the shops are in Chinatown, do visit them both and compare which one you like best:)

Second order from iHerb to Singapore has arrived
Today, my second order from iHerb has arrived. Ordered on 12 Jun and the parcel arrived today on 20 Jun, total taking about 8 days. Considered pretty fast since I chose the SingPost shipping option which cost only $4 for up to 6.3kg.
Below are the list of items that I have ordered from iHerb, most of them which I can find in Singapore, cost cheaper at iHerb than in Singapore. This is especially true for ChildLife and Sambucol products which are sold in Singapore pharmacy and shops. iHerb price is much cheaper even after factoring the shipping cost. The only drawback from ordering from iHerb is you need to wait about 8 days for it to ship to Singapore whereas buying from the shop is immediate.

Rainbow or Delphin vacuum cleaners in Singapore
Ever heard of Rainbow or Delphin vacuum cleaners in Singapore? The 1st time I heard of them, I have a shock. Vacuum cleaners which cost $2000-$3000!!!
Anyway, Rainbow and Delphin seems to be 2 completing brands in Singapore. Both cannot be found in stores but are sold via product demonstration which the sales person goes to your home.
They both sell on the idea that regular vacuum cleaners cannot suck the dust out of your mattress. Usually, the sales person will use the vacuum on your mattress and show you how much dust their vacuum cleaners can suck out. It is also mentioned that Rainbow or Delphin vacuum cleaner can double up as a air purifier as well.

Personally, I feel that spending $2000-$3000 on a vacuum cleaner is way too expensive. With that amount of money, I could get a regular vacuum cleaner for the floor, a full fledged air purifier and a dedicated dustmites vacuum cleaner for the mattress and sofa.
Just got to the stores, should be able to get a good floor vacuum cleaner and a air purifier for about $200-$500 each. Do remember to get those with HEPA filters.

Just one week before The PC Show 2014, comes the The SG Tech Show 2014. Looks like tech consumers in Singapore are spoil for choice.
Compare to The PC Show which will be held in Singapore Expo, The SG Tech Show has a more centralized location in Suntec Singapore. Essentially, both are tech shows which we expect to see sale and discount with laptops, tablets, HDTVs, 4K TVs, Digital Cameras, Telcos, etc.

First Order with iherb.com from Singapore Review - Part 3
Really busy with kids and work this few weeks so Part 3 of my review for the iHerb order to Singapore is late. Anyway, I took some photos of the parcel when it arrived on that day.
The iherb parcel comes in a normal brown paper box.
Upon opening, I found my order of 6 ChildLife, Probiotics with Colostrum Powder, Natural Orange/Pineapple Flavor, 1.7 oz (50 g) and 1 ZOI Research, Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil, 1,000 mg, 30 Softgels. There is also a complimentary iHerb measuring tape which I guess is for those who wants to lose weight or build muscle.
A little bit about the products I ordered.
The ZOI Research Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil costs only $1 when I ordered as it is on discount. Now it cost $9.95. iHerb usually will have some products on huge discount. So everytime you go to iherb to make your main purchase, be sure to check out the discount pages to hunt for bargain. Who knows, you may find some organics product or Manuka honey on great discount.
The ChildLife, Probiotics with Colostrum Powder, Natural Orange/Pineapple Flavor, 1.7 oz (50 g) is my main iHerb purchase which is for my child to boost his immunity. Originally, I bought from Singapore GNC and 1 bottle cost $78.50 (you do get discount if you buy 3 bottles). $78.50 is expensive for me, so I have to find a cheaper source. I found iHerb and The ChildLife, Probiotics with Colostrum Powder cost only US$23.95. After discount, it is only US$18.44. That is a huge saving from buying Colostrum Powder in Singapore!
As you can see from the picture, the ChildLife Colostrum one on the left is bought in Singapore GNC and the Colostrum on the right is from iHerb. There is no difference between the two as both are originated from USA. The two bottles are identical except that the one sold in Singapore have a "keep refrigerated" sticker label on the bottle cap. (Singapore is in perpetual summer, really warm! That's why have that special label.)

First Order with iherb.com from Singapore Review - Part 2
This Part 2 of the review of my first shipment from iherb.com to Singapore. I ordered from iherb.com on 27 April and shortly the next day 28-Apr-2014 07:42, the product was dispatched from their warehouse and a tracking code was send to my email address. Initially, I thought using Singpost as a shipping option for iherb will not have any tracking code but I was wrong. Singpost option do provide a shipping code.

I was starting to get worried and was wondering if iherb.com is a scam!

IT Show 2014 at Marina Bay Sands
IT Show 2014 is here this week. This is the first major Tech Show in Singapore for 2014. This year the IT show is held in Marina Bay Sands and there is a free shuttle bus service from Suntec City.
If you are going there by public transport, you can take MRT via Downtown Line or Circle Line and alight at Bayfront MRT station.
During the IT Show, the telcos will be offering major discount on their internet fiber plan, mobile plans and Pay TV. Be sure to check out all those brochures and flyers to filter out the best bargain.

The 3 main telcos - Singtel, Stathub and M1 will have very good offer during IT/Tech fair.
Mobile phones will have special discount and free gifts. Also, the registration fee and SIM card fee are usually waived which can save you $45 ++.
So if you can waiting to get a new mobile phone, IT shows are the best time to do your recontract.
