Four Reasons for Childhood Education Success and Failure

1. Children's needs are varied. While one child needs to sit quietly to absorb a lesson, another needs to play. It is important that you preview your child through the different childhood development programs to find out what suits him or her, rather than what other parents say.

2. There is only so much information a young child can absorb if the course is too academic or rigid, or if he or she is confronted by too much stressful demand on his or her attention.Young children are not prepared to cope with that and are more likely to turn off or develop a negative experience of learning.

3. Many programs lead with marginalization of parents. There is no substitute for parents in the lives of our children, and the early years are no exception.

4. Preschool education programs that are too limited in course length or too specific cause important neural patterns and connections to be washed out too quickly. While providing an initial boost, many programs if joined just sporadically or once or twice do not lead to long term improvement unless parents sustain and build on these gains.
